Our Story

Paramecium AG
In March 2019 we established Paramecium AG as the umbrella organization for Nephro am See. After searching for a suitable location, we find an ideal spot in Seehallen Horgen (formerly Grob Textile AG). Construction work begins in November.

Nephro am See
In April 2020 we opened our first location, Nephro am See – a Practice & Dialysis center in Horgen.

Spital Bülach Clinic
In October 2022, we launched our collaboration and consultation service at the hospital in Bülach.

Nephro am Wald
In July 2023, a second location was initiated, and the following November Nephro am Wald – a Practice & Dialysis Centre on the Bülach hospital campus is opened.

Bethanien Practice
Since November 2024, Sen. Lect. Jan Bruegger, MD has been an attending physician at the Bethanien Private Hospital on the Zürichberg wooded hill overlooking the city.

Nephro am Wald
We are expanding our practice near the forest in Bülach and will be celebrating the opening of the location in April.

We are renaming Paramecium AG: the umbrella organisation for our three locations will now be nephro.swiss AG.

In May, we are opening another nephrology clinic of excellence called Nephro am Berg – Praxis Bethanien on the Zürichberg.
